To H. king of Norway. In order that the disputes between his and the subjects may be settled, the king is pleased, if the king of Norway consent, that the king of Norway shall send envoys for this purpose to king at a certain day to ordain with certain of the king's council for the of the aforesaid disagreements. William de Hamelton, forester of Langewath, acknowledges that he owes John de Merkyngfeld, clerk, and Henry de Berlay 20 marks; to be in default of payment, of his lands and chattels in co. York. Richard de Burn acknowledges that he owes to John de Medburn, clerk, 5s. Od.; to be levied, in default of payment, of his lands and chattels in Southampton.
