To William de Fatham, receiver of the issues of the castles, manors and of Thomas, earl of Lancaster, and of other rebels in co. Lancaster. the king learns by inquisition taken by John Travers, late keeper. of the castles, ete., that Nicholas du Lee held a messuage with appurin Lancastre of Geoffrey, late prior of Lancaster, by the service of yearly, and that the prior and his predecessors were seised of that rent the time that Nicholas held it as of their very tenant, aud that the . 5 afterwards came to the earl's hands by acquisition, and that after time Fulcher, then prior, was seised of the aforesaid rent all his life, that after his death Nigel, the present prior, was seised of the rent until earl's death, when the messuage came to the king's hands with other of the earl; the king orders the receiver to pay the prior the arrears the rent from the time when the messuage was taken into the king's and to continue to pay the same for so long as he is receiver.
