Colepeper and John Colepeper, clerk, acknowledge that they owe de Wavere 100 marks; to be levied etc. in Kent. z of indenture made at London on 27 June, 83 Edward III, that whereas Walter Colpeper and John Colpeper, clerk, are to William de Wayere in 100 marks by the preceding recognisance, paid at Michaelmas next, and whereas William has demised to them the manor of Skottegrove co. Kent, and 5 marks of yearly rent in to hold for his life, rendering 16 marks to him yearly for life in of St. Paul in the suburb of Canterbury, William grants that if and John pay him 16 marks yearly in the said place at the terms, for his life, the recognisance shall be null. Dated that the parties came into the chancery at Westminster on and acknowledged the preceding indenture. of acknowledgment of receipt by Richard earl of Arundel John Mautravers of Lychet, of 400 marks, in part payment of marks in which he was bound to the earl by a recognisance made in on 16 July in the 31st year of the reign. Dated Westminster, 33 Edward III. French. that the earl came into the chancery at Westminster on and acknowledged the preceding deed.
