Order to take inquisito what lands were granted by the king's progenitors for the defence between the English and the Ivish in that land, to whom granted, when, where and how, and how the tenants have themselves, and which of such lands have been wasted by the occupied by them, and to send the inquisition to chancery in with this writ, without delay, as the king is informed that divers so granted and that the lords and tenants thereof have made no upon the marches for a long time, wherefore the men who used in those marches have withdrawn therefrom on account of the and poverty that came upon them, and so the lands of the are occupied by the said Irish, to the no small damage of the danger of that land.
