To the sheriff of Southampton. Order to supersede the demand made Walter de Wyvyll, treasurer of the church of St. Mary, Salisbury, for triennial tenth touching that treasury for the time when Arnald, cardinal deacon of St. Eustace, now deceased, was treasurer there, provided that answer is made for that tenth and other tenths from the time when the treasury came into the hands of others, as the king pardoned the cardinals of the Roman church all debts due from the benefices which they held in England by reason of tenths and aids imposed by the pope and his predecessors or the clergy of the realm, and those granted by the clergy of the realm, in consideration of his affection for them and of the services which they have rendered to the king and his progenitors, and may still render. By C.
