Whereas the king, 27 July, in his tenth year, granted to his kinsman Amadeus de Sabaudia the wardship of certain lands that belonged to John de Nevill, in chief, during the minority of John's heir, in part value of 4001. and by ignorance of those who made the extent the ferm of 101. due to the king from the manor of Arnhal, which belonged to John, extended, which ferm cannot and ought not to be separated from the either in time of wardship or at any other time; wherefore the king bound to satisfy Amadeus for the said 107. yearly: the king orders escheator to assign to Amadeus 101. yearly of land from wardships in custody. The king has ordered the treasurer and barons of the to discharge the escheator of such wardship when he shall have it to Amadeus, and to discharge the fermors of the wardship of manor in like manner if they have paid this sum to Amadeus in the To Thomas de Normanville, escheator beyond Trent. Whereas the learns that Robert Greylle, deceased, tenant in chief, granted to Peter the manor of Bloxham for life, and also that Robert granted that would acquit Peter for life against Philip de Lyndeseye of 121. yearly to Philip from that manor, and the king, in his grant to Amadeus de of the wardship of all the lands that belonged to Robert [assigned manor to Amadeus] in ignorance of the aforesaid grants, and now that an error has been made in this behalf by his ministers, wills Peter shall remain quit from payment of the aforesaid 12/. and that shall, by reason of the said wardship, pay this sum yearly to during the wardship, and that the escheator shall assign to Amadeus yearly of land elsewhere from other wardships in place of the said 12/. and therefore orders the escheator to assign 121. yearly of land or rent to Amadeus from wardships.
