To the abbot and convent of Forde. The king, wishing to provide the proper maintehance of his yeoman, Robert de Barton, for his good sends him to the abbot and convent requesting them to admit to their house and to afford him such maintenance therein as de Thorp, deceased, had there at the late king's request and to letters to be made thereupon under the conventual seal, and to write the king by the bearer of these presents of what they have done there- By p.s.
