To the same. Order to deliver to the said Mary the castle and manor of Framelyngham, with the hamlets of Sastede and Hacheton, and the knights fees and advowsons and other appurtenances, the manor of Walton, the manor of Earls Saham, which is member of Framelyngham castle, with the advowson of the church of the manor and the castle and manor of Strugoill, together with the issues thereof, because the king has learned by inquisition taken by the escheator, that the earl and Mary heid the said castles, manors, ete. jointly of the king's gift for themselves, and the heirs of the earl's body, and that the castle and manor of Strugoill are held in chief by knight's service, and the castle and manor . Parv III. 583 of Framelyngham are also held of the king, but by what service is not known, and the manor of Walton is held of the castle of Framelyngham.
