Order to cause the castles of Kaermerdyn and Druslon to be repaired without delay, expending 20/. for each, by the view and testimony of the constables there, and to cause the following victuals to be purveyed for the castles in those parts, to wit, in Kaermerdyn castle, up to 20 marks; in Druslon . Parr III. 543 castle, up to 20 marks; in Cardigan castle, up to 10 marks; in Lampadern castle up to 10/.; and in Dynevour castle, up to 100s., and delivered to the constables by indenture, so that answer may be made therefor to the king, as although the king ordered him to purvey victuals and other necessaries for their castles, he has hitherto done nothing, and danger is to be feared from hostile invasion, and the lightness of the Welsh. Tf he is remiss in the premises, the king will cause him to be amoved from his office and imprisoned.
