Coggeshale of Essex to Sir John lord Burghcher, his heirs Confirmation and quitclaim with warranty of the reverof the manor of Great Totham, the reversion whereof, after the of Ida who was wife of Hugh de Neville tenant of the same (with other manors) by fine levied in the late king's court three after Michaelmas 31 Edward III, between John de Neville of and Alice his wife plaintiffs and Adam parson of St. Peter upon London, Richard de Walton parson of Rochforde, Robert de Thomas Chauntecler, John Butiller of Walden and Adam de Erdale was assured to John de Neville and Alice for their lives, with to William de Bohun earl of Norhampton and his heirs ; rethe deaths of John de Neville and of the said earl, whereby the of the said manor after the death of the said Alice came to de Bohun his sonand heir, who granted the same to Simon de then bishop of London, Richard earl of Arundell and Surrey, de Briene, Sir John Knyvet, Sir Richard Penbrigge, Sir Maundeville, Adam Fraunceys, John Bampton, Philip de Meland Ivo Sandhurst and to their heirs, to whom by deed dated III the said Alice attorned tenant ; and reciting a grant said reversion after her death made by the said bishop and (with three exceptions) to Dame Joan de Bohun countess Essex and Norhampton and to her heirs, to whom by dated Chelmesford 1 May 2 Richard II, the said Alice likewise tenant, also a grant of the same made by the said countess, dated Great Totham 3 April 3 Richard II, to Thomas Coggeshis heirs, and an attornment to him made by the said Alice dated Totham aforesaid 15 April 3 Richard II, whereby covenanted that she should not be impeached of waste, a grant same made by the said Thomas, by deed dated Great Totham after St. Lawrence 6 Richard II, to the countess of Hereford, Waldegrave, Nicholas fitz Richard, Robert Rikedoun, Parroke clerk and John Westwyke and to their heirs, to whom Alice attorned tenant by indenture dated 20 April 7 Richard IT, a grant thereof made by the said countess and the others said lord Burghcher and his heirs.
