To the sheriff of Suffolk. Order to cause a coroner for that county to be elected in place of William de Launey, deceased. . To John de Warenna, earl of Surrey. Whereas Agnes, late the wife of Thomas Bardolf, tenunt in chief, demanded before the justices of the Bench [II. Parr f. 25 Thomas son of Thomas Bardolf a third of the manor of Gretham, and a third of the manor of Felyngham, co. Lincoln, and John son of Thomas Bardolf.and Elizabeth his wife a third of the of Plomton in Dichenyng, Wyvelisfeld, Cokefeld, Ertyngelegh, West- Lyndefeld, Smythewyk, and Pydyngho, co. Sussex, and against and Elizabeth a third of the manors of Strumpeshawe and Scrouteby, and against Edmund son of Thomas Bardolf a third of the of Herthill, co. York, as her dower; and the said Thomas son of John and Elizabeth, and Edmund, who hold the manors for their of the grant to the aforesaid Thomas, late the husband of the said vouched to warranty John son and heir of the said Thomas, a minor king's wardship, because Thomas bound his heirs to warranty ; and it considered by judgment of the court that the said Thomas son of Thomas, and Elizabeth, and Edmund should hold the said third parts in peace, that Agnes should have the value of her dower out of the heir's land in the earl's custody, as appears by the record and process of the suit aforesaid, the king has caused to come before him in chancery : the king, at the of Agnes, praying for delivery of such lands aforesaid for her dower, to be certified of the values of the aforesaid manors, ordered the of the said counties to cause the manors aforesaid to be extended, it is found by the extent returned into chancery that the manors are yearly in allissues 1887.68. 64d. The king, wishing to put the judgment execution, has assigned to Agnes out of the heir's lands a moiety of the of Shelford, co. Nottingham, as of the yearly value of 8/. 5s. 0d.; the of Stok Bardolf, in the same county, as of the yearly value of 11s. 3d. ; certain lands in Okebrok, co. Derby, as of the yearly value Os. 6d.; the manor of Barlyng , co. Sussex, as of the yearly value of Lis. 14d. ; and 12, of yearly rent in the manors of Berewyk and in the same county; and 60s. 1d. of rent in Houton neat Dunco, Buckingham (sic) ; and 4s, 7d. that Agnes renders to the king for dower assigned to her of the lands of her husband ; to have as her dower of said manors of Gretham, Felyngham, Plumpton, Strumpeshawe, Serouand Herthill: the king therefore orders the earl to deliver to Agnes said moiety of the manor of Shelford, the manors of Stok Bardolf and the lands in Okebrok, and the rent aforesaid.
