the sheriffs of London. Order to restore to John de Berkweye, his lands, which were taken into the king's hands upon his being before Ralph de Sandwyco and John le Bretun, justices to deliver the goal of Newegate, with theft and robbery, as sheriffs have returned that they have not delivered the lands to. as they were ordered to do by the king, because John was found of the crimes aforesaid by an inquisition of the country upon which placed himself before the gaid justices, saving the privilege of the and the king considers this cause erroneous.
