for life to Robert de Cantuaria, king's clerk, of the custody of the gate (janue) of the court of the priory of the Holy Trinity, Canterwhich was found to be vacant by the death of Reginald le Messager, porter, after the death of In. sometime archbishop of anterbury, which it pertains to the king to confer by reason of the voidance of archbishopric of Canterbury. to the tenants of the honor (sic) of Shorestan that the king, has granted to Matthew Bezil the said manor of Shorestan ut at the Exchequer of 201. a year, and mandate to them to be to him as their lord in all that pertains to the manor.
