Notification that it has been covenanted between the king and John de Bailloil and Deforgoilla his wife that the king will make them within a year a reasonable exchange by view of good men for her purparty of the county of Chester, on condition that if the rest of the heirs of John, sometime earl of Chester, die without heirs whereby more should fall to 3353 OQ a ee ere oe eee her of the earl's inheritance in the said county, the king will likewise make up to the said John and Deforgoilla the residue within forty days after 1 come into his hands, if he should wish to retain the same in his hands. And if the king or his heirs fail to make them this exchange, the king will surrender to them her inheritance in the county of Chester, and then the manors of Ludingeland and Torkeseye, with the farm of the town of Yarmouth, which in the meantime the king has handed over to them in tenancia, shall revert to the king and his heirs.
