Ratification of the truce taken at Theokesbiry on Friday the feast of St. Benedict, 20 Henry III, by E. archbishop of Canterbury, between the king and all his men and open adherents, and L, prince of Abbefrau and lord of Snaudon and his open adherents, as well Welsh as others, for one year from the feast of St. James, to wit, that both parties shall be in the same lands, men and homages wherein they were at the taking of the truce, saving to Morgan de Carleon the restitution of his lands and goods which G. earl Marshal seized from him during the last truce. If any thing shall have been forfeited in the meantime by the taking of lands, castles or goods, and the taking be manifest, the lands and castles shall be forthwith restored without waiting for the correction of the assessors of damages of the present truce, but in the case of goods taken amends shall be made by them, the truce nevertheless continuing ; so that from this time no naams shall be taken for any interception of goods movable made within the truce, or for any contention which arose before the taking of the truce, but such shall be amended by tho said correctors. No one also shall receive in his power the adherents of the other side. No new castle shall be fortified in the march or ruined castle re-built during the truce.
