Bond to Robert, master of the Knights Templars in England, and the brethren of that house, to pay them 200l. every year for five years from the Assumption, the term of the truce with France, in London, at the New Temple, by the hands of the underwritten attorneys, whereof the said master and brethren will acquit the king yearly, in Paris, at the house of the Temple, against the count of La Marche for 800 pounds Tournois, wherein the king is bound to him on account of the isle of Oleron, which the king retains, and which the count claimed against him at the making of the truce. To pay this sum, the king has attorned R. bishop of Chichester, the chancellor, to pay 100/. of the farm of the manor of Writel, which he holds at farm for life, John son of Geoffrey, and his heirs, to pay 60/. of the farm of the town of Eylesbiry, which he . 117 at farm, and W. dean of St. Martin's, London, to pay .0/. of the of the town of Newport, which he holds at farm for life.
