Mandate to Hugh de Bolebek, Roger de Merlay, Roger de Bertram of Bothale and John de Haulton to go in person to the castles of Baunburg and Newcastle upon Tyne, to view in what state Robert de Nevill, sheriff of Northumberland, receives them into his keeping as well in houses, buildings, walls and dykes, as in armour, munition (irarnestura) and other things belonging thereto: and to let the king know under their seals without delay what they find.
