[I edera.] to the king of Castile that the king is sending to him the bishop and John to complete the covenants between them. This letter is close. to B. countess and marchioness of Provence and countess of the king's mother, and to Master Henry, archbishop of (Fbredulenensis), in 1000 marks for the defence of the castles of which the countess holds in the king's name and which Charles, of Provence, has invaded ; and promise to pay 500 marks of this at Exchequer of Michaelmas next and 500 at Easter.
