Bond to Amauvin de Vareis in 90l. 10s. for arrears of his stipend to Friday before St. Gregory, 88 Henry III, and in 50 marks of his fee for Michaelmas Term, 87 Henry III, and in 45 marks for three horses lost in the king's service, witnesses whereof are Roger le Bigot, earl of Norfolk and marshal of England, and Ralph de Haya; and in 100. of the king's gift to maintain him in the king's service in the seneschalcy which . the king committed to him in Gascony during pleasure ; whereof the king will pay the 90/. 10s. and the 50 marks when his treasure comes from England; and of the remaining 100/. he will cause 50. to be paid immediately by the hands of Peter Chacepore, the treasurer, and the other 501. when the treasure comes from England.
