By fine of 20s. Gloucester. _ . to John, archbishop of Canterbury, Richard, bishop of Roger, bishop of Coventry and Lichfield, Henry de Lancastre, Derby, Richard, earl of Arundel, William de Clynton, earl of Thomas Wake of Lydel, Ralph Basset of Drayton, and de Sadyngton, reciting that in the last Parliament at Westminster, and magnates as well as the commonalties of the realm made to the king that, whereas they in the Parliament at Westbefore his first passage to Brabant, and in subsequent Parliagranted divers subventions for the furtherance of his business the seas and other causes, as well of wool as of their moveables, give order that the accounts of William de la Pole, knight, Paul de Monte Florum, the merchants of the societies of and Peruzzi, William de Northwell, William de Melchebourne receivers of the wool and other goods so granted, from tne the grant of the tenth for three years made to the king, as well beyond the seas as within, and appointing them to examine if any of them have been delivered at the exchequer for delivery, to audit these anew, if necessary, as well as other not yet begun, and to inform themselves of all receipts and out, and all other matters relating to the accounts, notwithany acquittances or pardons made to the said William or the by the king.
