Inspeximus of a certificate of the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer, sent into the Chancery by the king's mandate, that on a scrutiny of the rolls and memoranda of the Exchequer it is found that, in Easter Term, 29 Edward J., that king in return for 200/., whereof 200 marks was to be paid at once and 100 marks on the morrow of Midsummer following, granted to the abbot and convent of Welbek, the part of the wood and soil of Roumwode between the wood of the abbot and the park of Thomas de Furnyvall, stretching along the king's highway between Wyrkshop and Warkshop towards the west and containing 60 acres by the forest perch, with the plot of land called Carberton Storth by the said wood ; to hold to to them and their successors by the rent of 28s. at the Exchequer, according to the arrentation thereof made by Richard Oysel appointed for the purpose by the said king. 80.
