Inspeximus and confirmation for Ralph de Neville of the following : (i.) Charter of Lewis bishop of Durham, dated 29 July 1331, being a grant to him, for life, of the manor of Evenwode as fully as any lord ever held the same. (ii.) Confirmation of the above by the prior and convent of Durham, under date of August 4. (iii.) Indenture dated 7 March 1325 between the bishop and the said Ralph witnessing that, in consideration of his having released the bishop from a yearly payment of 20/. out of his Exchequer at Durham, the latter had granted that he and his assigns should hold the manor of Wynlawghton, for his life, free from the rent of 202. due for the same. French. (iv.) Confirmation of the above by the prior and convent under date of 1 April 1326. By K. 6.
