Pardon to Richard Kendale of Lostwythyell, co. Cornwall, gentilman, for the death of Edmund Pery, chaplain, and of any consequent outlawry ; the king being informed that the said Edmund with others on 24 August last lay in ambush at Lostwythyell to murder Stephen Kendale, Christina, his wife, and the said Richard, and smote the said Christina on the head with a baselard, and severely beat and wounded the said Stephen, whereupon the said Richard in defence of himself and his father and mother, struck the said Edmund on the outer side of the thigh, whereof he died.
