Whereas by inquisition taken before William Whaplode late escheator the county of Buckingham, it was found that John Neville, since being seised in his demesne as of fee of the manor of and of the advowson of Gotehirst church, in that county, held the king by fealty, by the name of John Nevill of Gotehirst, esquire, the premises, without royal licence, amongst other things, to Widevyll, since deceased, and to William Tresham, Thomas John Loughton, and Richard Willoughby, esquires, who their heirs and assigns; and on the death of the said John and by reason of this trespass the premises were taken into the hands, the king, for 7 marks paid in the hanaper, has pardoned trespass and grants licence to the said surviving grantees to have the again as aforesaid.
