Grant to Thomas, bishop of Bath and Wells, and his successors, of all ransoms, amercements and forfeited issues from the dean or dean and and all canons, vicars and ministers of the cathedral church of St. Wells, the prior and convent and monks of St. Peter, Bath, and tenants and resideuts on the lands, possessions and fees of the said dean and chapter and prior and convent before the king in his justices, the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer, the and marshal of the household and all other his officers and He and his tenants and residents within the said lands and fees be quit of toll throughout the realm, and nothing shal] be taken of corn and other goods by the officers and ministers of the king against will. He shall have goods and chattels of felons, fugitives and return of writs and summons, and deodand and treasure trove the said lands and fees, and no sheriff, bailiff or other minister of king shall enter therein. He shall have cognisance of all pleas touching and tenements and all pleas of debt, trespass and other contracts the city and liberty of Wells, and full power to hear and determine within the same as have the justices of the peace or of labourers in county of Somerset. And he shall have all goods called wreck of sea on sea coast within his hundred of Wynterstoke and full power to hear and such cases within the said hundred and the liberty of the same as be heard and determined before the king's admiral, and no admiral of king shall enter therein to exercise his office of the admiralty.
