Whereas Alan Frenssh appeared before the barons of the Exchequer in person on 25 November in Michaelmas Term, 3 Edward IV. and made oath that Thomas Clarell of Lillyngston, co. Oxford, gentilman, from 22 March, 38 Henry VI. until 27 October, 3 Edward IV. at Silleston within the king's forest of Whitelwode, co. Northampton, cut down and sold to John Carpenter of Farvyngo, co. Northampton, and John Eyburn of the same and divers other men of the county, oaks and underwood of the king growing there, viz. 100 acres within the bailiwick called Wakefeldes bailiwik and 40 acres within the hailiwick called Haselborowe in the said forest and converted the moneys arising therefrom to his own use, the king now pardons the said Thomas for the same and for all offences of vert and venison committed by him within the said forest before 1 March, 3 Edward IV.
