Confirmation and ratification of the under-mentioned sales, viz. the king granted to queen Isabella the custody of the lands and tenements late of John Wake, tenant in chief of the late king, in his hands by reason of the minority of Thomas son and heir of the said John Wake, and afterwards during such custody certain lands and tenements of John de Kent of Coleby, deceased, who held of the said heir by knight's service, in Brantingham, co. York, fell into the queen's hands by reason of the minority of Simon son and heir of the said John de Kent, and the queen for a fine made with her by Robert de Ponte Fracto granted the custody of the said lands and tenements in Brantingham to the said Robert together with the issues and profits thereof from the date, when the said custody came into her hands, and lastly the said Robert de Ponte Fracto sold the said custody of the lands and tenements in Brentyngham to John de Ellerker, the elder, king's clerk, to hold to the full age of the said Simon.
