Grant of 2881. 18s. 9d. to be received out of the custom on wool, hides and wool-fells in the port of London, and out of the import for exporting the same, to the merchants of the society of the Bardi of Florence, they having satisfied on the king's behalf the under-mentioned persons, viz. John de Crumbwelle, banneret, in 100/. for money granted to him for his expenses in remaining in the king's company with his knights and squires from 8 July to 15 October last, John du Char, serjeant-at-arms, in 181. 12s. 4d. in which the king was bound to him for his wages and for replacing one hackney lost in his service at Wollore in July in the sixth year of his reign, and also in 40s. for another hackney, Oliver de Burdegala in 118/. 17d. which the said Oliver paid for the king to Espandus de Arraux, as well for horses bought from him and delivered to John Page, a man at arms, in the town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, as for arrears of his wages, of his fellows and of 22 hobillers, as for replacing the horses of Nicholas de Duresme, and Henry Queynterell, for which sums the said merchants hold divers bills under the seals of Roger de Northburgh and Ingelard de Warle, keepers of the Wardrobe, and under the seal of the chamberlain of Scotland.
