Commission to John Carmenowe, Thomas Lucombe, Thomas Lymbery the sheriff of Cornwall to enquire into the petition of John Philip that Edward de Bossorn was seised in his demesne as of fee of the of Bosseveynon, co. Cornwall, and by charter on Thursday after the 4 Edward II, granted it to Robert de Bossorn his son and the of the body of the latter with successive remainders to Bartholomew, Edward and Alan his sons and the heirs of their bodies and his daughter and her heirs, and the said Robert was accordingly of it in his demesne as of fee tail and enfeoffed Robert Tresilian, of it and he and Bartholomew, Ralph, Edward and Alan all died issue and the said Marjory married one Roger Lessa and had issue Lessa her son and heir, who had issue Martin Lessa his son and who had issue the said petitioner his son and heir, and on their deaths manor descended to the said petitioner as kinsman and heir of said Marjory, and the said Robert Tresilian was attainted of treason by an act in Parliament, 11 Richard HU, by which it ordained that he should forfeit all the possessions which he on 1 October, 10 Richard II, and by an inquisition taken at co. Cornwall, on 7 April, 11 Richard I, before John Kentknight, and William Horbure, clerk of the said king, it was found the said Robert Tresilian held in his demesne as of fee certain lands Bosveynon and Ragenys, worth 18/. 18s. 4d. yearly, and the manor was into the hands of the said late king, who by letters patent dated November, 18 Richard II, granted it to John Hauley of Dertmouth, afterwards by an inquisition taken at Medeshole, co. Cornwall, on before 8S. Simon and Jude, 12 Edward IV, before John Penpons, escheator in the county, it was found that Edward de Bossorn was of certain specified possessions in Bossorn, Bosveynon, Bolouhal, Roconwell Mur, Roconwels Byan, Arthia, Breweny, Porthenys, Keres Mur, Marghagehowe, Bronwon, Bolosek, Rosvenen and Kegwyn, Carnzorgh, Bolonkan, Carnbolonkan, Trewef, Bronkoys, Boskawen, Bolosek, Skybyrowe, Ressenen, Bodyner and Bodyner Vyan, Keres Mure and Seglanvyan with rents and from William Langoneth, Stephen de Bronkoys, Richard le Denys, de Boskawen, John de Skybyryowe, Richard de Mores, William John Vyvyan of Porthenys, John de Kelerion, Michael Vyan, Tebold Heskels, Roger Fabre, Andrew Bysom and Edward de Seglanvyan and the same by charter to Robert de Bossorn as above, and he granted same to Robert Tresilian, kmight, and his heirs and the premises remain to the said John Lessa alias John Philip as above but they to the king by reason of the said act, and the premises form the manor, and by an inquisition at Launceveton, co. Cornwall, on 8 18 Edward IV, before John Croker, knight, Richard Page, Trefry, Thomas Lucome and Thomas Lymbury it was found that IIT was seised of the said manor and granted it to John Hauley above, and the latter was seised of it in his demesne as of fee and on death it descended to one Elizabeth his kinswoman and heir, viz. of John his son, who married one John Copleston, who by dated 16 October, 87 Henry VI, granted it to John Denys of and Thomas Dowrish, and the said John and Elizabeth had issue Copleston, esquire, and died and the said Philip died 16 October last past and Ralph Copleston, of the age of 17 years, was his and heir, and the manor was accordingly taken into the king's hands, may now be done to him.
