Power to John, earl Warenne, Guy de Bello Campo, earl of Warwick, Aymer de Valencia, John de Sancto Johanne and Hugh de Veer to select some suitable person in the room of William le Latimer, the elder, heretofore appointed by the king but now otherwise engaged, to conduct Adam Gurdun and John de Inchemartyn, knights, and Masters Nicholas de Balmil and Thomas de Bonnequil, clerks, of the king's realm of Scotland, to Canterbury for the treaty which the king, at the instance of Philip, king of the French, has granted to be held a fortnight after the present Easter, touching the peace of the people of Scotland, with the envoys of that king; to protect them while there and conduct them back to Scotland. 587
