Licence for the alienation in mortmain, although after inquisition ad quod damnum Gerard Salveyn, escheator beyond Trent, returns that it is to the king's prejudice, by William le Ros of Hamelak, to the prior and convent of Wartre, of the manor of Wartre, the services of the free tenants by knight service excepted, which manor is held in chief, with the exception of two parts of the capital messuage thereof held by the grantor from the same prior and convent.
