The like to the same to give the royal assent to the election of John del Cnok, canon of the house of the Mount of the Apostles, Luueth, to be abbot thereof in the room of John, sometime abbot, ceded; and he is to take a fine for their having also elected without licence. Promise to Nozus Nocinus Chinus, Nosns de Burgo, Kosa Fulcon[is] and their fellows, citizens and merchants of Florence, to pay them 460 marks sterling of new money, residue of 1,700 marks in which the king was bound to James Spinelli and his said fellows by his letters patent, which they have surrendered to the king; to wit, a moiety next Easter, and a moiety the following Michaelmas.
