Mandate to all sheriffs, bailiffs, and faithful people, on behalf of brother Hugh, proctor-general of St. Edmund, and of the abbot and convent of Pontigny, in the diocese of Auxerre, (Auctsiod ,) to arrest and detain all persons collecting alms in the name of the said abbey, and not having letters testimonial of the said proctor-general, he having complained to the king that dishonest persons are going about England falsely asserting themselves to be proctors of the said abbey, and collecting money and goods in the name of the aforesaid saint aud converting the same to their own use.
