Commission to Robert de Mounceux, king's serjeant at arms, and Walter de Langedale reciting that, inasmuch as Thomas de Ursewyk, William Mareschal, Gamelyn atte Water and Simon de Neweton, who held the custody of the town of Belleville and other fortalices of the inheritance of the lady of Cliczon in the parts of Poitou, lately in the king's hands, have delivered the custody out of his hands to his enemies of France, without his licence, incurring thereby forfeiture of their bodies and goods, and have sent over a great number of ships laden with his salt there to ports in England, in the name of divers men of the realm and other parts, to be sold for their own profit, along with other of their goods and chattels, the king wishing to be answered both of the forfeited goods and the salt has appointed them to arrest and take into his hands any such that they can learn of, and deliver the same by indenture to Richard de Santon to be kept for him: and he hereby commands all admirals, sheriffs, mayors, bailiffs and others to be attending, counselling and helping unto them.
