Grant to William de Emeldon, king's clerk, clerk of the robes in the chancery, for his long service to the late king and the king in the chancery and elsewhere, and because he has freely consented to serve for a time in the offices of the chancery and chamberlainship of the town of Berwick on Tweed and of the king's other lands in Scotland, that he shall retain the estate, which he now holds in the chancery of England, whether absent or present, so that none of whatsoever state or condition he be shall have that estate or intermeddle himself therein while he be without the chancery of Ii:ngland on the service aforesaid. By K. & C. tont. made by Richard Danseye, escheator in the county of Hereford, to find a monk to celebrate divine service daily in the church of the abbey for the souls of William Poer and John de Gloucestre.
