Grant to Roger de Swynnerton, on his petition, that whereas the king lately promised him for life 300/. yearly of land and rent for the better maintenance of his estate of knight-banneret, and afterwards granted to him among other lands those in the counties of Stafford and Chester, which escheated by the forfeiture of Hugh le Despenser, iate earlof Winchester, to hold for life in part satisfaction of the 300/., he shall have the said earl's manor of Barewe, co. Chester, and his lands and rents in Rushton, Corneford, Austanfeld and Caldon, co. Stafford, which were extended at 60/. and 14/., with knight's fees, advowsons, liberties and other appurtenances, to hold to him and his heirs in full satisfaction of the said promise. By K. & C.
