Pardon to Thomas Laurence de Ia More and Isabella his wife for acquiring for themselves and the heirs of Thomas from John Laurence de ia More, his father, a messuage, two carueates of Jand, 30 acres of meadow, 12 acres of pasture, a grove called apse and 31s. 114d. in rent, in Little Haddon, in the parish of Bampton, with the homages and services of the free and customary tenants, the villeins and their issues and all other appurtenances, held as of the manor of Bampton, part of the ancient demesne of the Crown, which had previously been acquired in fee simple by the said Zohn from John de IIaddon, to whom they bad been re-granted, after surrender, by Aymer de Vulencia late earl of Pembroke, to hold in fee simple by certain services contained in the deed of grant, without the licence of the king's progenitors or of the king having been obtained for any of the aforesaid transfers ; and licence for them to retain the premises.
