Parr I. 181 on the petition of the master, brethren and sisters of the and gild of St. John the Baptist, Coventre, and of the brethren of the fraternity and gild of the Holy Trinity there, and for paid by them in the hanaper, after reciting the successive licences by the late king for the formation of their respective gilds, as by the letters patent thereof, for them to unite and form one and gild, bearing the name of the fraternity and gild of the Trinity, St. Mary the Virgin and St. John the Baptist, Coventre, and one yearly from themselves to serve as master ; and confirmation gild thus formed of all the licences granted by the late king to and further, as the licences to the former to acquire lands of the value of 40J. and to the latter to acquire lands of the yearly value even though executed, which they are not, would not suffice to the nine chaplains and the other works of piety, the king hereby them licence to acquire lands, tenements and rents in Coventre and to the yearly value of 46/. 18s. 4d. in lieu of the above, and in others to the yearly value of 40/. for finding the nine chaplains divine service daily in the chapel of Babbelak for the good of the king and queen, the king's uncles, the dukes of Lancaster, and Gloucester, and their children, for their souls after death and By p.s.
