Appointment of the king's knight John Golofre to superintend (supervidend ) in the king's name all yeomen of the household and others below that rank, whatever their estate or office, and to compel them, wherever throughout England or from elsewhere they happen in the retinue (comitiva) of the king to pass, ride or stay, to carry bows and arrows with them and practice archery ; with power to punish contrariants at discretion. Parr II. 75 for the alienation in mortmain by Thomas Warner of one and four acres of land in Micheldevere, and by the said Thomas Hampton, William Wyke and Richard Carter of one messuage virgates of land there, not held in chief, to the abbot and of Hyde by Winchester, in full satisfaction of a licence granted to by the late king to acquire in mortmain lands, tenements and rents yearly value of 100. _ For 100s. paid in the hanaper. for the alienation in mortmain by John Parker and William chaplains, of five messuages, 100 acres of land and 18 of meadow Stanley, Thrulleston and Alwaston, not held in chief, to the and convent of Dale, in full satisfaction of a licence granted to them late king to acquire in mortmain lands, tenements and rents of the value of 100s.
