Appointment of Robert de Staundon, Richard de Immere, and Master Peter le Surigien to enquire by jury of the county of Stafford what bailiffs or ministers have received bribes to stay at home from the 600 footmen selected in that county by Richard de Harleye and the said Richard de Immere, to attach such persons staying at home, and to compel them by good manucaption to come without delay to the army at their own expense ; and to seize by the sheriff both those who have stayed at home and those who have taken bribes, and keep them in gaol until further order. Also those whom they find to have been guilty hereof and who by testimony of the sheriff shall appear to have withdrawn themselves, they are to seize by their bodies and goods and answer to the king for the issues of the latter, until such persons come in and promise to submit to justice.
