Licence, after inquisition made by Waiter de Gloucestre, escheator this side Trent, for William de Spaldyng to grant for life to William de Cotenham, chaplain, a messuage and three virgates of land in Molynton, held by , 449 him in chief. The former heretofore alienated without licence the premises to the latter, for life, and for that reason they were taken into the king's hands, but the latter having made a fine of 100s. before W. bishop of Coventry and Lichfield, his trespass is pardoned.
