Ratification of a grant made by Henry de Lacy, earl of Lincoln, when he was the king's lieutenant in the duchy of Aquitaine, to Bernard de Sancto Crico, king's clerk, by reason of his service in those parts, of the king's orchard (vsridartum) and the land thereof, with the land under the castle of Bonegurde called the king's place, to hold during pleasure, saving the right of anyone; and further grant to him of the same in fee simple by the service of a lance with gilt iron by the name of a gift (nomsne sportule), to be presented at every change of a superior lord.
