Appointment, during pleasure, of Harsculphus de Cleseby and Richard York. Oysel to arrent the king's wastes, whether of the king's soil, or of the soil of others, at the will of the lords thereof, which by the assize of the forest it is competent tv the king to arrent, in all forests, parks, and chaces this side Trent, and to commit them to tenants in fee simple, or in any other way at a yearly rent at the Exchequer; and to sell in all the king's forests, hays, chaces, parks, and woods this side rent, trees, wood, and underwood, whether green or dry, to the amount of 2,000/. in such places as it can be done with the least damage; and where the money arising therefrom can be more quickly levied by view and testimony of the foresters, &c., so that when it comes to be levied in each particular cage, it can be paid and be delivered at the Exchequer by September 8 at the latest. And the said arrentations and committals are to be sent under the seals of the above commissioners and of those by whom they are mede to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer, so that they may be enrolled in the rolis of the Exchequer.
