Grant to Peter de Thoresby, parson of the church of Aykeskarth, that he may bunt at all times of the year, except in the fence month, the hare, fox and cat, with his own dogs throughout the chace of John de Britannia the elder, of Wensladale, which is in the king's hands; provided that he take none of the kiug s great game, nor course in the king's warrens. Thomas, canon of the church of St. Mary, Kells, bringing news of the resignation of Malachi, sometime abbot of that place, has letters of licence to elect. The said Thomas has letters directed to John Wogan, justiciary of Ireland, for the said justiciary tv restore the temporalities to the person elected and confirmed by the diocesan, after first receiving in the king's name the fealty of the abbot elect, and obtaining from him letters patent sealed with his own seal and that of his chapter that this grace shall be without prejudice. Edmund de Herierde, Thomas de Eyton and Geoffrey de London, canons of the church of St. Mary, Merton by London, bringing news of the death of Philip, prior of that place, have letters of licence to elect.
