Notification to the barons, knights, échevins, burgesses, good men and others of the counties and lands of Holand, Seland, Sutholand, Kenmerland and Friesland that, the king having heard of the horrible death of Florence, count of Holand, whereby John de Holand son of the said Florence, becomes count, sends Christian de Raphurst and Reginald de Jermeny, knights, Master Richard de Havering and Walter de Bruges, clerks, to arrange fur two or more men from every good town, and three, four, or . 203 more noblemen from every country (patria) to come to the king in England, to St. Edmunds before Martilmas, with full powers to confer and treat, touching the state of the said counties and lands, and touching the completion of the marriage between the said count and Elizabeth the king's daughter, according to the agreements already made between the king and the said Florence.
