Mandate to Malcolm de Harleye, escheator this side Trent, to deliver to the said Hugolinus the said custody ; and out of the lands which are in the king's hands in the name of a custody, except those which are in the king's hands through the death of William de Say, tenant in chief, he is to deliver some to Adam de Folehan, citizen of London, in whose hands the said lands of Esthamme and Westhamme are by demise of Adam de Cretynges, deceased, who formerly held them for a debt in which the aforesaid Philip on the day of his death was bound to him ; and the said Adam de Foleham is to hold such lands until the arrears of debt, wherein Adam de Cretinge was by reason of the aforesaid demise bound to Adam de Foleham, shall have been, as to the escheator shall appear, levied from them.
