Grant, for life, to the king's kinsman, Robert Veer, earl of Oxford, chamberlain, because he is retained with the king and in consideration of the good and gratuitous service which at great expense he has rendered to the king and will render, of the castle, town and lordship of Okeham, co. Rutland, with knights fees, advowsons, wardships, marriages, reliefs and escheats, parks, woods, warrens, moors, marshes, fisheries, meadows, pastures, franchises, liberties, reversions, etc., belonging thereto; and if the king die without heir of his body he hereby grants the premises to the said earl and his heirs male.
