Exemplification, at the request of the present prior of the church of Hallows in the east part of Dublin, of letters patent under the seal of tested by Walter de Birmyngham, justiciary of Ireland,at Dublin, 29 June, 22 l:dward III, exemplifying at the request of Thomas, prior the said church, the following : (1) A charter, dated 14 February, 18 Edward I, inspecting and confirming a charter of Henry (II), dated at Dublin. (Charter Roll, 18 Eduard I, No. 91.] (2) A writing of William Marshal, earl of Pembroke, granting for the saving of his soul and the souls of William Siward and the earl's ancestors, with the assent of the bishop of Ferns, to the prior and canons of the said church all his rights as patron in the church of Rahtmacneht, so that they might enter into and appropriate the church after the decease of Roger de Penbrochia, then rector of the same. (3) Letters patent of Adam, bishop of Ferns, dated at Wexford, on Thursday after St. Laurence the Martyr, 1888, confirming to them, with the assent of the dean and chapter of Ferns, the church aforesaid, which they had possessed as appropriated of the grant of the said earl and of the grant of Hugh, bishop of Ferns, made in time out of mind. (4) Letters or charter of Theobald Walteri, butler of Ireland, granting to the church of All Hallows by Dublin and the canons there, in frank almoin, 24 acres of his land of Stein with the tithes and obventions of the whole land of Stein. (6) Writing of Maurice son of Gerold granting to the same, in frank almoin, for the saving of his soul and the souls of Juliana, his wife, and his father, mother, ancestors and successors, the church of Tachtodly, for them to appropriate the same, with the appurtenances, saving the tithes of the church of Laderachbrun and of the chapel of Maynoth. (6) A writing of Luke, archbishop of Dublin, conferring with the assent of the chapters of the Holy Trinity, and of St. Patrick, Dublin, on the church of All Hallows, Dublin, and the canons there, the church of Techtho, on the presentation of Maurice son of Gerold, for them to appropriate the same. (7) Letters of John, [bishop] elect of Cloyne, dated at Balikotyn, the Nativity of St. John the Baptist, 1888, granting to the said prior and canons for ever the church of Rath in Omachilly, in his diocese, which they had possessed as appropriated of the grant of Maurice son of Maurice son of Gerald, late patron of the church, by authority of Nicholas, sometime bishop of Cloyne, from time out of mind.
