Pardon, at the supplication of Hugh Bokenhull, clerk, to Henry Chaloner the younger for the death of William Balle of Asshebourne, killed at Compedene in Bradle fee on Sunday before St. Oswald, 10 Richard IJ; also for breaking the mansion-house of Nicholas Lymystre at Asshebourne on the eve of Sunday the feast of the Conception, 11 Richard II, and beating his servant Richard almost to death; also for entering on the same night at Compedene in Clyfton fee and aiding John Cresvyle, Nicholas son of Robert Spenser and Stephen, servant of John Cresvyle, who killed John Paytvyn that night, and harbouring them thereafter ; also for harbouring the said John, Nicholas and Stephen and William de Sutton, Edmund de Herthull, Walter Pyper, Henry Sherard, John Tomkynson, Adam Lenge and Robert Loksmyth at Asshebourne on Monday after the last date and often afterwards, well knowing of their said housebreaking.
