Licence for John de Broddesworth, Thomas de Birkyn and Robert de Masam, chaplains, to found in the cathedral church of York a perpetual chantry of one chaplain to celebrate divine service for the good estate of the king and for his soul after death and the souls of the king's progenitors, Master Adam de Thorpe, sometime canon of the said church, and others, according to the ordinance of the said John, Thomas and Robert, by advice of the archbishop of York, and to alienate to him in mortmain a messuage in York and the reversion of another [there], which Eva de Crome holds for life of the inheritance of them the said John, Thomas and Robert, the sald messuages being held in chief in burgage.
